PCYC Fit For Life Program

Fit for Life is a youth-focused exercise program across all PCYC NSW Clubs, forages 10-17, training with Police and Community volunteers. The program is based around the PCYC star values commitment, resilience, integrity, citizenship andrespect, which are taught through core messages and reinforced through sporting activities.

Fit for Life comes under the RISEUP strategy developed by the NSW Police Commissioner, connecting disengaged young people to workplace opportunities.

It's been a long past 12 months over covid however it was nice getting back into the community to support some great initiatives like Fit for Life run by PCYC Tweed Heads .

Mark Harrison from PCYC: "We would take it in turn of knocking on the door of Coles and Woolworths asking for some food to help feed the kids. They were great and generally gave us a $50 voucher to help the kids out. Sometimes Oz Harvest would drop some food to us but it was getting harder and harder each week when we continually had to ask for help.

The Kids on the Border backing will help cater the food for the program for 12 months and supply sporting equipment for the activities and reward system for the students. It could not have come at a better time."
